Natural Dyeing
All our fabrics are bio treated with ayurvedic ingredients.
Reviving the essence of nature, we use medicinal herbs, flowers, plants and bark of trees to dye our fabrics and clothes.
Each ingredient used by georics for dyeing and bio-treatment of the fabrics has medicinal properties.
Natural dyeing is a slow process which yields pleasantly unpredictable results.
Botanically dyed fabrics are great for our skin.
Eco Printing
We believe that the most amazing and exquisite prints and colours can be achieved just by using natural elements, which don’t harm our planet in any way.
And eco print happens to be one of our favourite techniques to create prints and patterns.
We use flower petals, leaves, and many other natural elements to eco print our fabrics.
With eco print, feel the spring hit you home.
The floral motifs and arrangements refresh us from within.
Shibori
Shibori is a Japanese method of folding or compressing fabric before dyeing it by hand in order to create organic-looking, geometric patterns.
We don’t restrict ourselves to the indigo colour when dyeing, we go a little wild with our explorations with colours and craft and love experimenting.
Clamping is one of the shibori techniques that we use very frequently at our studio.
Different folds tell different stories and we love dyeing those stories in form of fabrics for you.
Hand Painting
Hand painting, Once in a while we love bringing out our inner Picasso at our studio.
We hand paint for very specific pieces and making the natural paste to hand paint is a time taking process.
We take inspiration from mama earth and our surroundings.
Hand painting is a time-consuming technique, but it is all worth the effort.
Embroidery
Embroidery happens to be one of our favourite surface techniques.
We dye our yarns with natural dyes.
Hand embroidery is one of the popular surfacing at Georics.
It not only adds texture and colour to a fabric but also makes the fabric look ten folds interesting.
Handcrafted products have a certain beauty to them and we try to serve it to our patrons on a silver platter.
Block Printing
Block printing with natural colours involves approximately 20 steps.
Block printing is one of the most sustainable and natural techniques.
We develop different kind of motifs and make their wooden blocks, following the traditional long process of blocking.
Biotreatment is done before blocking or dyeing.
